Episode 058: Time Vs Money

LISTEN NOW

Hey Squad,

I am so excited about this episode because I am sharing with you some of my secrets to redeeming time.

Before we get into it, as you’ve probably heard, I am building a Membership site for y’all – A Tribe Called Purpose™. I’m inviting y’all to sign up for the Waitlist by CLICKING HERE so that you have all the tea when we start off.

Today’s episode is short, but it is a foundational principle on how you can take small steps to start walking in your purpose.

So, a lot of times, we say that we don’t have time. And it’s true. However, how is it that other people seem to do more with their time than we do?

Y’all know my story. I used to spend an inordinate amount of time on social media to numb my anxiety. And it felt like I didn’t have time. I was always rushing, always behind until I got a handle on my habits. I started pouring into myself every morning and teaching my Cavewoman that I can do hard things!

Now, it feels like I have so much more time than I used to. And I don’t. It’s the same 24 hours!

By investing in myself, I have found ways to spend money in order to gain time for things that are important to me. Now, this may be a hard time for you and you may not have the money you wish to have. So this is not to make you feel guilty about that. But if you are able, what are ways that you can invest in yourself so that you have more time for your purpose?

In this episode, I discuss:

  • Time as a finite resource vs money as an infinite resource.
  • Recognizing the things that are taking my time away from my purpose work and what is important.
  • Taking back my time by investing in services that help me delegate tasks.

Episode 057: Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes: Habit Building Masterclass for the New Year

LISTEN NOW

What up, Squad!

Happy New Year!!!
If you are listening to this, you made it!

Our purpose is not postponed just because there is a pandemic. In fact, I would submit to you that our purpose is even more crucial at this time.

By now, y’all know I’m a strong believer that every day, every morning is a God-given chance to draw closer to our Zone of Proximal Greatness.

Last year, I hosted a Habit Board Party. This year, I decided, as a gift to my community that I would do it in the form of this podcast. So this is going to be a Habit-Building Masterclass y’all.

Y’all know my story.

After my mom passed away, I decided that I was going to walk in my purpose. I started listening to all these podcasts, bought all these courses… By looking at my life, you wouldn’t tell that I had these aspirations and dreams because nothing changed.

I was still snoozing, and a procrastinating hot mess.

I was consuming a lot of information, but I wasn’t implementing anything. I had a lot of dreams, goals, and desires, but my day-to-day existence was the same.

What I want for you is that we engage in habits that on a daily basis support the goals that we have. We are going to be honest with ourselves, and get deeper into how our good and bad habits serve us.

I’m taking you step by step through this process and helping you start new habits to take you closer to your purpose in 2021 in this Masterclass.

What up Squad!!! I’m so grateful to have you in my life.

You have kept me going this year, and that is not an exaggeration. There were moments I just wanted to throw in the towel, but when I remembered I have been called to serve you… I couldn’t!

Announcement: I’m reviewing my content and products for next year and I would love to hear from you what you think and where you’re at.  Sis, would you please do me a favor and take the Productive on Purpose™ Community Survey? I’m looking forward to serving y’all in the best possible way.

Let’s get into it…

What a year! As always, I’m giving you ALL the tea.
Here at the Pop Squad, we are all about being real. Serving the good, the bad, and the uggggllyyy!

Building a business is hard!

When I think of Q4, the word that comes to mind first is traumatizing.
I explain why (download & listen to the podcast) – and I take full responsibility for the trauma. Some were out of my control and some of it was self-inflicted.

I’ve had huge wins this year hiring for my business and I’ve also learned huge lessons on choosing people. Some painful lessons are because I  see the potential in people and I want to give them chances to prove themselves, but unfortunately potential doesn’t get the work done.

Another huge win: The Push Through Procrastination™ 5-Day Challenge!!! Whoa!! Shout out to all of the amazing women who showed up and made the Challenge a success.

I’m so grateful and I’m amazed that I did everything that I set out to do in Q4. Did I achieve the impact that I hoped to? No, I didn’t. And that is where some of the grief comes in.

The lessons I’ve learned:

  • Changing quickly if something isn’t working for me.
  • Meeting y’all where you’re at. Sometime back, I made a change on my podcast and platform to focus on purpose and entrepreneurship. That was a mistake. And I appreciate the feedback I got from y’all. I need to meet you where you’re at.  I was trying to rapidly push you guys to where I want you to be instead of meeting you where you are, and that was wrong. I’m sorry about that.

Episode 054: Bonus! Interview with P2P Student – Dr. Lisa Davis

LISTEN NOW

Hey Squad,

I want to appreciate all of you who listen to my podcast every week.
I feel so blessed that I get to serve you in this way.

On today’s podcast, I had the privilege of catching up with Dr. Lisa Davis, M.D. who was a participant in Cycle 3 of my program, Procrastination to Purpose™, and I thought it would be great to share her story with you all in the podcast land!

Dr. Lisa Davis, M.D., is a family medicine physician and she has been doing clinical and academic medicine for 20 years. She is now transitioning into an entrepreneur. Her business will help people move from fear and avoidance to love and intention in the area of fitness and nutrition.

She did my Push Through Procrastination™ 5-Day Challenge and joined my Procrastination to Purpose™ Program because she felt she need to manage her transition from her full-time job into retirement and keep her progress flowing as fast.

I knew that I needed more. The 5-Day Challenge – outstanding!  But I, knowing myself, wanted to build on that momentum. I wanted to get more. I just was wanting more information about how to keep this Cavewoman from defeating me. And I knew that the value of what you had to offer just from the 5-Day course. I knew you were about the business. That it was going to be worth my time and my money. And it was going to be effective. So, yeah, I signed up right away. No hesitation. And you gave us a discount. But I would have paid whatever it was.
~ Dr. Lisa Davis

I am incredibly humbled that the program I created has such an impact on the people that take it. To add to the business and personal goals that most women come to the program with, the principles that I teach spill over to other areas of their lives.

I was so happy when Dr. Lisa said that she used the Push Through Principle™ that I teach to finally set up a meeting with her financial advisor and get to look at her money.

You can change your life, get productive, and start your own business even if you struggle with procrastination. Sign up for Procrastination to Purpose™ The doors close on Wed, December 23rd.

Our kickoff call will be on Mon, December 28th and we start the program on Wed, January 6th.
